They say there is no substitute for experience, and we agree. We offer a lifetime of experience training, competing, instructing, and educating in a variety of canine sports. We love our work and continue to learn and grow with our clients, year after year.
We are a family owned and operated business and have provided outstanding training and boarding services to this area since 1979. Our specialty is in the area of problem solving; whether for pulling, jumping, general unrulliness or competitive obedience and agility. Our clients particularly value the personal attention and dedication we offer, and the home environment our boarding provides.

I started showing in 1976 with a Borzoi named Robin, a rescue who had bitten several people. Together we earned my first CDX, it gives perspective to start with a difficult "non obedience" breed. Since then I've titled dogs from every AKC group and am working with my first All American, Tulip. Having a background in both horses and dairy cattle broadens my understanding of animal behavior as well. Once a client even asked me to assist her in preparing several young, pasture raised llamas to enter the show ring!
Dog training has evolved so much in my time in the sport. when I began treats were condidered cheating or bribing, now most trainers know the value of reward based training. When I prepare to train my three current dogs ( Daisy, Tulip, and Violet) each of them asks to be chosen, waiting patiently for their turn. I strive to create a strong bond thru training and play that enhances our relationship and enriches their lives.
I have competed successfully for years in conformation, obedience, rally, tracking and agility. I've developed skills training and instructing in freestyle and canine nose work. One of the things I'm most proud of is the many comments from spectators and fellow exhibitors about how happy my dogs look in the ring. I enjoy training and showing and it shows in our performance.
Over the years I have earned three MACHs, two OTCHs, eight UDs, twelve CDXs, and many more Obedience and Rally titles. Tracking is wonderful exericise for dog and handler, two of my goldens have earned their TD titles and I keep promising my current pack that they will get to track as well.
There are many wonderful memories with my dogs, but two especially stand out, getting my first UD on my Standard Poodle Brandy in 1982 and finishing my Golden Retriever Pansy's MACH. Pansy was the last Golden I competed with, and she joined the very special group of OTCH MACH dogs on that day. Training such a variety of breeds in so many venues gives me insight when working with students and their dogs. I am a problem solver. If one technique does not get the job done, I have plenty more up my sleeve!

I have spent my life with dogs; training, learning and loving them more with every year. Growing up I spent endless hours playing with and training our dogs. From an early age, I assited in training client dogs benefiting from the expert instructions of my mother. She has shared a lifetime of experience with me. After graduating from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, I joined the family business full time.
I have spent the last 15 plus years focusing my time and energy on helping dogs, their owners and continuing my education to better serve our clients. I always seek to gain greater understanding of all canine behavior, from appropriate puppy play to various forms of aggression. Pursuing the latest in relationship based training techniques and competition titles from a Confromation Championship to advanced Agility titles to Obedience and Rally. I have been trained as a Nose Work instructor and attended seminars on a wide range of topics, from canine aggresion to Freestyle to pet training and many more.
I help families, both the human and canine members. I enjoy giving them the best friend they've always wanted. My ambition is to create the perfect relationship, by sharing a lifetime of experience with my cliets.
